Steam Power Fair
England had steam powered machines before we did and used them into the late 1940’s. They have steam fairs to show off the different types that have been preserved and restored. We attended one and the equipment was amazing. Tractors were most the prevalent, but trucks, rollers, large organs, as well as miniature tractors and trucks were driven and displayed. The covers are for those machines that spent a lot of time in the rain. It protected the working parts.  The size of the tractors was impressive. We came home with a fine covering of coal dust. I now understand why all the buildings in England are dark and being cleaned.
