Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury
was built in 800 AD, and became a major market town because of the navigable
river and the wool produced in Wales a short distance west. It still has over 660 buildings from the 14
and 15 hundreds.
This makes it a fascinating town to stroll through. Sitting on an oxbow in the Severn River, the
town has a beautiful river walk and park.
